After far too many years, we are back in France doing another canal boat rental trip. It’s one of our favorite vacations ever, so after the pandemic delays and all that mess, it’s very nice to be back.

This time we are in Northeastern France, near the Belgium border in the Ardennes. We picked up our boat in Pont à Bar in the early afternoon and decided to take a very easy first day down the Canal des Ardennes.
